As shown in the figure: the fritted disk aperture G0>G1>G2>G3>G4>G5>G6. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture. The commonly used ones are G2/G3 fritted disk, G3 is used to filter out fine sediment. Under normal pressure, the water output is slow or non-existent, and it is more effective when combined with pressure or suction filtration. G0-G2 fritted disk, due to its coarse pore size, can be naturally filtered under normal pressure.

Precautions
The newly purchased filtering instrument needs to be filtered with acid solution before use, washed clean with distilled water, and dried before use. For sterilization filters, high-pressure sterilization is required before use. After use, a washing solution should be used for filtration, and then soaked in the washing solution for 48 hours before being taken out and rinsed with distilled water, filtered, dried, and stored. During the drying process, do not open the oven halfway. Wait until the oven has cooled to room temperature before opening and removing it to prevent explosion. After use, it is necessary to wash it to avoid affecting the filtration efficiency due to sediment blockage. Attention should be paid to slow heating or cooling, and it is not advisable to filter hydrofluoric acid, hot concentrated phosphoric acid, hot or cold concentrated alkaline solution during use.
