Solvent Filtration Apparatus
Product Name:
Boro 3.3 Glass Beaker
Product Specifications:
250ml-5000ml
Product Material:
High borosilicate glass
Product Introduction:
Mainly used for the filtration of aqueous, organic, and corrosive liquids, for the analysis of specific pollutants, particularly recommended for the filtration of HPLC mobile phases, with a certain degree of gas permeation to ensure the purity of the mobile phase and prevent blockage of the HPLC liquid path. It can also be used for sterile testing, culture sterilization filtration, and sterilization filtration of heat sensitive substances.
This filter is made of high-quality silicon glass, which is smooth and transparent, free of impurities and bubbles, corrosion-resistant, and has an annealing point of up to 500°C.
Its fixing device is a circular aluminum alloy clamp with high toughness, which can reliably resist distortion and deformation even after long-term use. The unique circular design allows for a tight fit between the center and the joint, ensuring high stability and preventing liquid leakage.

Operation method:
- 1 Firstly, insert the straight tube filter element into the mouth of the suction triangle bottle, gently downward and slightly rotate it to make it fit tightly.
- 2 Place the filter membrane in the middle of the sand core of the filter element, place the filter cup flat on the filter head, grind the flat surface to match, and clamp it with a clamp.
- 3 Connect the negative pressure nozzle of the Vacuum pump to the rubber hose, and connect the other end to the rubber hose connection nozzle of the suction triangle bottle.
- 4 When filtering, inject the solution into the filter cup, turn on the vacuum pump, and under vacuum, the solution flows through the filter membrane on the filter head into the suction triangle bottle for filtration.

Precautions
1.
Choose the appropriate filter membrane according to the different filtration solutions.
2.
First, turn on the vacuum pump, and then pour the solvent to be filtered into the filter cup for filtration.
3.
During the filtering operation, do not make the liquid filtered in the triangular bottle too full, tilted, or fluctuating to prevent solvent from being drawn into the pump through the vacuum hose and damaging the pump core.
4.
If there is leakage between the filter head and filter cup, check whether the grinding port is aligned, whether the filter membrane is flat, and whether the tightness of the clamp is uniform and reliable.
5.
Slow down the filtration speed of the same solvent. Check if the filter membrane accumulates too many impurities that affect the filtration speed. If necessary, replace the filter membrane.
6.
The solvent filter is a fragile item and should not be moved as a whole or with a clamp.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the primary application of this Solvent Filtration Apparatus?
It is mainly designed for filtering aqueous, organic, and corrosive liquids. It is especially recommended for HPLC mobile phase filtration to protect the HPLC liquid path from blockage and ensure purification.
What type of glass is used in the apparatus, and what is its heat resistance?
The apparatus is constructed using high-quality Boro 3.3 borosilicate glass, which offers excellent chemical corrosion resistance and has a high annealing point of up to 500°C.
Can the glass components be sterilized?
Yes, the high-quality silicate material is designed to withstand hot pressing disinfection and standard sterilization processes, making it ideal for sterile and culture sterilization testing.
How does the clamping device prevent leakage?
The apparatus features a high-toughness circular aluminum alloy clamp. Its unique uniform circular design ensures a tight, stable fit between the filter cup and joint, preventing liquid bypass or leakage.
What should I do if the filtration speed decreases significantly?
A drop in filtration speed is usually caused by an accumulation of impurities on the filter membrane. Check the membrane condition and replace it with a new one if necessary.
What precautions should be taken to protect the vacuum pump?
Avoid overfilling the receiving triangular bottle, and keep it stable. If the liquid level gets too high, the solvent may be drawn through the negative pressure hose into the vacuum pump, causing pump damage.
